About

Hello! I’m Jessica Cordero. Thank you for checking out Mindful Movements Health Coaching. Let me tell you a little bit about me and my journey to becoming a health coach.

I’ve always been intrigued by the question, “What is the one thing you want me to know about you?” This question is perfect for getting at the heart of connection. What you most want to share is what I most want to hear. What I want you to know about me is that I deeply want to help you connect to your inherent potential.

It was this idea of “potential” that led me to health coaching. I had previously spent my days working in a cubicle, and on one particularly rough day, I was confronted with the idea that what I was pouring my time and energy into would never truly fill my soul—that my own potential was being wasted.

This thought shook me to my core because I could sense what lay ahead: I would have to make a change, and it’s not easy to question the path your life has been so intently set on. However, that night, as I sat in stillness and silence, I was overcome with a great sense of gratitude for the idea of connection.

At that time in my life, I was connecting very deeply to my own personal health, and this thought took root in my mind: what if I could help people find a greater connection with themselves and discover their own sense of health? It was a blessing to me that, at that moment, I knew this was my purpose.

So now, I’m proud to say I am a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach, and I would be honored to work with you and draw out your individual potential.

My Health Coaching Practice

When I decided to become a health coach, I chose to study at the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy. Functional medicine doctors practice root cause medicine, meaning they do not seek to treat symptoms, but the causes behind the symptoms. Functional medicine coaches seek to do the same. Our approach, at its heart, is client-centered. The only agenda is your own. No matter what health challenges you’re facing, we will explore the “why” behind them and find the best way forward.

While I love working with anyone going through any kind of health challenge, I have a special place in my heart for those who are stuck in a cycle of stress. I know firsthand that real and lasting change is hard, especially in the fast-paced and often stressful world we live in. I not only have the skills to help you achieve the changes you seek, but also the deep desire to walk with you through that process.
